Semi Formal, photographs will be taken in the style of "yearbook photos"
Yes, free parking is available onsite. Look for signage when you arrive. First come first serve.
Doors will be open an hour before the ceremony, with light snacks and coffee provided.
Absolutely! The event will be child friendly.
Both the Ceremony and Reception will all be situated indoors.
This will be a "dry" wedding, no Alcohol is permitted on the premises. We kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing drinks. We might be looking at an afterparty in the late evening at a seperate karaoke location if there's enough interest. Though the Bride and Groom will have to be up very early the next morning.
Yes!
Early light snacks will be provided before the ceremony.
Afterwards we will have sous-vide cheesecakes prepared by the groom
followed by a catered lunch of sandwiches, salads, fruits and veg, and other light snacks.
Finally; after the event at Game Time (see below) we will likely order some Pizza in late afternoon!
A section for this is including on the RSVP form if you haven't filled it out yet!
All additional guests who did not receive an invitation will need to be cleared by the Bride and Groom first.
In lieu of gifts, we are instead accepting donations for our local food bank, the Bread Run
A volunteer will be stationed at the entrance of the church to assist with monetary donations. We will have a debit machine setup, as well as other means by which to donate. Cash will also be accepted.
Absolutely! We accept any non-perishable, non-expired, shelf stable donations. Please see this list of excellent options that are always in very high demand for the food bank:
Donated food will be sitting on a table at room temperature overnight, so please bare this in mind for donated items!
At 2:00pm of the event a receive will occur of additional food items for the Food Bank. We will need some volunteer help from folks to help us move and setup tables, chairs, and move boxes of food onto said tables to prepare for the food bank on Saturday Morning. If you think you can lend us a hand, please let us know!
There will be! In fact, we also will have a photo booth setup for all the guests to take "yearbook" style headshot photos in, which will then be used to create a "yearbook" of the wedding!
You can! We are still working out the details on this, but you can chat with us after the wedding is over to get a keepsake copy of the yearbook made for you. We will have the yearbook designed afterwards by a company, so we aren't sure how much it will cost per copy yet!
After the ceremony is over and the paper airplane contest is done (see below) we will have a general lunch time, and people can feel free to take lots of photos as much as they like from this time onwards.
We will be handing out a sheet of standard letter size paper to every guest. They will be encouraged to quickly make the best paper airplane that they can. Then we all as a group will line up and throw our paper airplanes to see who's can fly the farthest (A photo will be taken to commemorate the event too).
We highly recommend folks practice their folding skills beforehand, bring your A game!
The Bride and Groom will be participating in the ritual of Hand Fasting during our ceremony.
For the duration of time between the first ceremony, and the second Unfasting Ceremony later, their hands will be tied together by a ceremonial rope.
The Unfasting Ceremony will be a much shorter small ceremony where the rope is removed, signifying the final step of their union
During the Games and Challenges period of the reception, the Bride and Groom will still be Hand Fasted together. We are asking guests to submit ahead of time possible fun challenges to have the Bride and Groom attempt while their hands are still tied together! See our contact info here
After the event is over at 2:00PM and the food bank receive is complete, we will be setting up for some chill board games with friends, everyone is welcome to join, we have plenty of tables and chairs we can setup for folks to visit, relax, and play some games.
Absolutely!
We have tonnes of options, and we will also bring some packs of cards, dice for more traditional games like Yahtzee, Dominoes, or other classic card games.
The Groom is also interested in purchasing a box of Magic the Gathering cards (Likely the Bloomburrow set) if he can find enough people interested in doing a small draft event, please contact him if you are interested!
Not at all, if you just wanna hang out and visit, or if you have to head out, we totally understand.
Towards the end of the afternoon when we start wrapping up, we will really want some help from a few volunteers who want to assist in cleanup. This will mostly involve putting away chairs, tables, doing a quick sweep, gathering up garbage and recycling, and taking garbage bags out to the garbage bin (just out in the parking lot). Please contact us if you want to lend us a helping hand!
